On March 4th a training session and open day for HDD equipment was held at our Melbourne premises in Dandenong. The day marked the launch of the new Astec DD4045 HDD machine which is now available in both Australia and New Zealand.

Overall, it was a great success with 40 participants and many interested parties attending. All were pleased to have the opportunity to learn more about Trenchless Machinery and we ran the following school sessions:

• Mud School run by Aus Mud Co.
• Location School run by DCI

Due to the success of this open day, we plan to hold another in October. At this stage we are looking at running the following school sessions to help enthusiasts up their HDD knowledge:

• Mud School
• Tooling and Drill Strings
